ROLE
Graphic Designer, Web Designer, Video Editor, Photographer
SCOPE
Branding and Marketing
CLIENT
Mills Entertainment
Agency: Mills Entertainment
In 2016 I modernized the Mills Entertainment logo. The company’s goal was to move past their circulating, dated typeface and materials while retaining their original brand. I created a simple typography logo that maintained the text placement of the original with a modern font: Proxima Nova. This font carries an elegant letter spacing, pristine legibility, and was sufficiently reminiscent of the original logo’s typeface to cue the brand. I changed the color palette to pivot away from darker colors and embrace a more inviting tone.

In this document I created a simple “how to” guide to the logo, color palette, and e-mail signature. This document was written to be user-friendly to all employees of Mills Entertainment, regardless of design experience.

This image showcases an older version of the company website alongside the updated version created by me. It was designed using Wordpress. I moved away from the dated “blog-like” formatting and utilized modern layouts to optimize the legibility and user experience.
My approach to this assignment included a prototype site in Adobe XD, followed by serial meetings with the Mills Entertainment CEO to revise iterations of the design. I am proud of 1) the website’s password-protected portal for all of Mills Entertainment’s property marketing assets, which simplified the sharing of assets between members of our teams and individual venues, and 2) a demo reel edited by me with old footage of company productions I sourced from the company’s cloud drive. It is still featured on MillsEntertainment.com.
