John Cleese Live on Stage was a live theatrical tour produced in partnership between Mills Entertainment and John Cleese. Audiences viewed a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Gail, followed by a live appearance of Mr. Cleese. I generated the tour artwork, social media ads, and the tour website.

The show logo was created using the Cinzel typeface. This serif font was chosen to balance Mr. Cleese’s class with a thick and bold type with capacity to punch through as a show title. This font transitioned well between small assets, such as 728x90px banners, and large assets, like roadside billboards, amongst the variety of other formats utilized by the marketing campaign.
The promotional approach to this tour utilized an Instagram version of the artwork. The rights to use Mr. Cleese’s image and the Monty Python artwork were secured, but in this case no assets were provided by the agent for the talent. My role was to independently source and edit high-resolution images of both Mr. Cleese and Monty Python, and then use them to generate promotional artwork.
